Trans-Port 2023: The main maritime port meeting for Latin America

The congress, to be held at the Metropolitan Santiago convention center, will feature a plenary session, three lectures and three dialogues, with more than 40 expert panelists in the field, representing an opportunity for the development of the sector, the public-private relationship, and the analysis of the maritime port world today.

The most important international congress and exhibition of the maritime โ€“ port sector in Chile, Trans-Port 2023, arrives this Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the Metropolitan Santiago convention center.

The meeting will bring together the entire industry around โ€œNet Zero โ€“ Digital: Building new standards for a transport and foreign trade ecosystemโ€, which will be the main theme on which the talks and dialogues of Trans-Port 2023 will be developed.

The international congress contemplates a program that will address the main current challenges of cargo transport, ports and multimodal services, also facilitating collaboration and business networks between suppliers, customers and authorities involved in an industry in constant movement and change.

The meeting will have the special participation of the Honorary President of Trans-Port 2023, the Chilean Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Juan Carlos Muรฑoz, who committed his attendance to the meeting.

โ€œWe are pleased to participate in this edition of Trans-Port 2023, an event that has established itself as a space for relationships between key public and private actors in the logistics and port sector. Therefore, it is a challenge to once again hold the Honorary Presidency of this meeting, where fundamental aspects of today and tomorrow of this important industry for Chile will be addressed, such as the promotion of new businesses, coordination to improve the efficiency of the operation of logistics chains and strengthen the performance of our portsโ€, said Minister Juan Carlos Muรฑoz.

The congress will have 42 speakers who will participate in the congress in the different spaces that Trans-Port 2023 will have throughout the day. The opening ceremony will be followed by the Plenary Session: Integral Challenges between Logistics Ecosystems, Territories and Environment. After that, three talks will be held: โ€œFrom strategy to practice. How Net-Zero is incorporated into the business of maritime and logistics ecosystemsโ€, โ€œUsing emerging technology to minimize port and supply chain security risksโ€ and โ€œNew planning and management capabilities driven by Digital Twin portsโ€.

Additionally, three dialogues will be held at Trans-Port 2023, entitled: โ€œFacing disruptive maritime events with greater public-private coordination and collaborative technologiesโ€, โ€œNew collaborative frontiers at the port-land interfaceโ€ and โ€œIncreasing the ability to synchronize intermodal services between ports, modes and shippersโ€.

Rodrigo Lobo, FISAโ€™s deputy general manager, extended a special invitation to be part of the meeting. โ€œTrans-Port 2023 will be a unique space that will bring together the leading exponents of the industry and the value chain of foreign trade, logistics and transportation, promoting the generation of business and strengthening the networks of an industry in constant dynamics and evolution. I invite everyone to be part of it and to promote together the development at national levelโ€.

The congress will end with a networking meeting, where attendees will be able to exchange ideas, opinions and establish business relationships and networks, being the ideal space between supply and demand of the industry, learning about new opportunities for innovation and development of the sector.
