The city of Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi province, carried out the inaugural large-scale import of Australian cherries. This became an important milestone for both countries, enhancing commercial relations, particularly in the agricultural sector.
As reported by the local media Xi’an Daily, logistics was one of the points that stood out the most since the entire operation, from the moment the cherries were harvested to their preparation for sale, was carried out in just three days.
In this way, it is expected that this event will mark an important stage between Australia and China, specially because occurred in a season that has not been free of difficulties for local producers, who have been able to successfully cope with the negative effects of climate change, keeping one of the country’s most promising businesses afloat.
