Javier de Pablo Camarasa: “When producing cherries under plastic, management is key”

The cherry cultivation advisor in Spain and Azerbaijan arrived from the European country to give the third masterclass at CherryTech 2025.

The cherry producer under plastic spoke with Smartcherry about the two instances in which this type of alternative should be considered, in addition to highlighting the characteristics of fruit produced under plastic.

He also offered recommendations for producers who wish to opt for this cultivation alternative, emphasizing that it should not be done at maximum temperatures, highlighting ventilation and irrigation management as very important for achieving quality cherries.
