The Southern Hemisphere exported to the world 428,164 mt of sweet cherries during the 2022-23 season, an increase of 16% compared to the previous season. Chile is by far the main exporting country, getting 97% of market share in this side of the world.
The South American country registered for the season a positive variation of 17% in the volume shipped, with a total volume of 415,000 mt or 83 million boxes of 5 kg equivalent traded.
