First Cherry Express of the season arrives in Hong Kong

The first Express vessel of the 2024-2025 season has arrived at the port of Hong Kong, before heading to China. On December 8, after 4:00 PM Hong Kong time, the first Cherry Express docked at the terminal and then proceeded directly to the Jiangnan Market in Guangzhou, China.

The containers of Chilean cherries were received with great anticipation. Before their arrival at the Asian giant, they underwent a quick customs inspection to reach their final destination in Guangzhou after approximately 5 hours of truck transport.

This first Cherry Express adds to the two containers that had previously arrived by sea and all the shipments of fruit that arrived by air, which began in the first half of October.

As a result, the demand for Chilean red fruit continues to strengthen in the continent, with expectations of record figures for the quantity of fruit exported and marketed.

The first Cherry Express that reached the Asian continent departed from the Port of San Antonio on November 18, carrying around 750 containers of fresh cherries on a direct route, marking an important milestone for the export fruit sector in our country.

Soon, you will be able to review more details about this successful arrival in the Asian giant through the specialized platform Smartcherry TV, in the โ€œSmartcherry en Destinoโ€ section.
