USA: Oppy and Dole Diversified North America move forward together to expand capabilities in berries, grapes, citrus, and cherries

Strategic alignment creates efficiencies and growth opportunities.

Since October 1, Oppy, a producer, marketer, and distributor of fresh produce, has strategically integrated the sales operations of Dole Diversified North America (DDNA USA) into its business, marking a significant step in expanding the company’s established capabilities in North America.

In a press release, both companies indicate that this transition unites the strengths of both businesses, positioning Oppy to accelerate growth while delivering greater value to the market through efficiencies and a broader portfolio of berries, grapes, citrus, and cherries.

“By integrating DDNA USA’s proven sourcing expertise and capabilities, we can offer new options and opportunities to both growers and customers,” said John Anderson, president and managing partner of Oppy, adding, “This is a significant milestone on our journey toward purposeful and impactful growth, as we continue to deliver on our promise of what the world can expect from us”.

Both companies are part of Dole plc’s Diversified Fresh Produce Americas & ROW business unit. The combination adds Dole-branded products to its portfolio that align with Oppy’s current model. Bananas, pineapples, and other tropical and exotic products marketed by Dole Fresh Fruit are not included in this integration.

“The integration of these two subsidiary companies allows us to expand the visibility and strength of the Dole brand, ensuring that more consumers in North America experience its premium quality, while new growers will have the opportunity to leverage the value it represents”, said Enda Walsh, president of Dole Diversified Americas.

This decision underscores Oppy’s strategy to drive long-term, sustainable growth in North America. Both companies emphasized that the transition will be seamless for customers and producers, and that continued service and sales support will remain a top priority.

Finally, Anderson stated that “our partnership represents the beginning of a significant new chapter (โ€ฆ) We are excited about the opportunities ahead and are confident in the long-term benefits this will bring to our global partners”.
